Today’s Top Music Artist: Tinywiings
Canadian music artist, Tinywiings currently lives in Vancouver, BC although she was originally born and raised in Calgary, AB. She moved to Vancouver to change her surroundings and continue creating music. Tinywiings is half Jamaican from her dad’s side and half English, Scottish, and Icelandic from her mom’s side.
In addition to her music content, she can be seen posting her creative fashion, hair, and makeup looks across her social media accounts. She currently has 12.7k followers on her Instagram and is quickly growing.

Tinywiings has always had a passion for writing, which she started at an early age by mostly writing poetry. Tinywiings shared about how her rapping career began, “My brother is a huge inspiration as he was the one to tell me that rap is like poetry to a beat. He is extremely talented in the music field so having him be proud of me means a lot.”
A poet and rapper, Tinywiings uses writing as a means of self-expression, creativity, and advocacy. Tinywiings has also delved into other fields as she was a paramedic in the past. In April 2021, she left her paramedic job due to personal reasons and pursued music full-time. Tinywiings continues to grow her fame exponentially, and she’s looking forward to upcoming music performances. An especially notable performance will be happening this year in Orlando, FL, where she will take the stage at the “Girls in Wonderland” music festival from June 1-6, 2022.
Tinywiings is proud of how far she has come and how quickly she has been able to establish herself within the industry. Having released music for about 2.5 years, she hopes to continue elevating her artistry while meeting new artists and expanding her fan base. As a musician, Tinywiings is also proud to share that her music has had a noticeable positive impact on both herself and her listeners. She says, “A lot of people have told me about how my music has helped them get over breakups or to feel more confident in who they are. Making music has taught me so much about myself and how powerful words actually are.”
Another noteworthy accomplishment is recently named “Rap Recording of the Year 2021” for her song “Ruthless”. Tinywiings prides herself on being her true authentic self and loves to empower others–especially women. Apart from creating music, Tinywiings enjoys hanging out with friends, listening to music, and cooking for others. She also enjoys her alone time writing music or watching some of her favorite Netflix shows like Family Guy or Forensic Files.
